Hugh Rose is informed that Captain Clark's army had arrived, so they would have more arms and men! Laxmibai and her confidantes are worried. Help arrives in the form of Tatya Tope who arrives in Jhansi with his battalion. Laxmibai meets her wounded soldiers and tends to them. She then exhorts them to fight for their motherland. The soldiers promise to fight against the British till their last breath! Tatya Tope discusses his strategy against the British with his men. Thousands of miles away, Laxmibai was proving to be a major concern for Queen Victoria, so she decides to send her bravest but crazy officer, Lieutenant Gall. Chimnabai goes into labour and Laxmibai assures her that Jhansi would be freed by sunset, so Chimnabai asks her what would happen if Tatya Tope wouldn't arrive on time! The Prime Minister alerts Laxmibai that in case Tatya Tope would not come to Jhansi's rescue, they would need to leave the fort. Meanwhile, Tatya Tope waits for the British soldiers to come closer, little realising that Gall and his men were hiding atop the trees. His men get killed by the British, and a lone Tatya Tope is surrounded by the enemy!
