Kumkum Bhagya: Here’s Why We Think That Meera Is Nothing Less Than A Godmother For Rhea

Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya has been airing for a very long time now and has been enjoying very high TRP ratings from the very time it had first premiered. The focus of the Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia starrer daily soap has been Pragya and Abhi’s love story from the beginning and the fans have always loved the chemistry between these two actors. But, the Kumkum Bhagya episodes have taken a leap of over two decades and the plot of the series now includes the love lives of Pragya and Abhi’s daughters, Prachi and Rhea. As Pragya and Abhi separated from each other when their daughters were very young, both of them have always been deprived of receiving the love of both, mother and father together. But, here’s why we think that despite Pragya staying away from Rhea, the latter found her godmother from a fairytale in Meera (Ashlesha Sawant). Read further ahead to know more.

Ever since Rhea was a child, Meera has always taken care of Rhea like her own daughter. While growing up, Rhea found a mother-like figure in Meera with whom she can share everything that is there in her heart. Meera too has always shown genuine care towards Rhea.

Meera never let Rhea feel that she doesn’t have a mother. Even though Meera started in the Mehra family as Rhea’s nanny or someone who is being paid to take care of Rhea, the bond between the two became unbreakable. Rhea always felt grateful for having Meera around.

Meera came back early from her trip only to spend her Diwali with Rhea. Unaware of the fact that Pragya has come back into Rhea’s life, Meera was very excited to spend her Diwali with her “daughter” Rhea. Meera leaves all her work to come running back to Rhea.

After the Diwali party when Pragya and Rhea come face-to-face, Rhea says a lot of mean things to Pragya and refuses to accept Pragya as her mother. But after Rhea comes back to her room, she feels very bad and starts to cry. It is Meera who tries to pacify Rhea in this situation, not letting Aaliya brainwash her anymore and giving Rhea the care and affection she needs.

Meera loves Rhea a lot and can do anything for her. When Abhi asks Meera to marry him, Meera says “yes” to Abhi’s proposal only to make Rhea happy. Meera can never refuse Rhea in anything and always tries to keep Rhea happy.
