Vidya is reluctant to break her fast, so Sindoora accuses Vidya about her fast holding more importance than Sagar's life! Meanwhile, Shalu accidentally spills her drink on Harsh, so he goes to change his clothes. Chandra, who is outside Harsh's room, stops him from going to the terrace by flirting with him. Vidya agrees to break her fast but requests that Sagar feed her the first morsel. Sindoora and Mahua are jubilant! A dejected Vidya is about to break her fast when Sagar sights the moon behind the clouds and shows it to Vidya! Vidya is happy and completes the rituals. The moon hides behind the clouds again. Sindoora, not having sighted the moon, taunts Vidya that her faith is weak and that's why she had to break her first fast after marriage, which was considered an inauspicious omen. However, Sagar says that only Vidya and he had sighted the moon. Even the priest tells Sindoora that Vidya's fast has been completed. Sindoora and her sisters are furious. Harsh comes to the terrace then and gets angry. Later, Sagar thanks Vidya for breaking her fast for him. Meanwhile, Shalu tells her mother that Harsh is interested only in her. Hema disapproves completely. Sindoora's sisters warn Sindoora that, soon, everyone will accuse her of getting defeated at the hands of a village bumpkin! When Vidya narrates the story of Lord Rama's exile to Sagar, he calls Vidya an ideal wife like Lord Rama's consort Sita. Vidya goes to fetch water for Sagar when she meets Harsh. She tells him that Lord Shiva will protect her, so he says that he'll test her Lord today by applying vermillion on her forehead and will see how God will protect her then!
