INTRODUCTION OF INDRANEIL SENGUPTA AS TUSHAR Sagar shouts out to Samir. Samir wakes up and gets terrified. Sagar goes to rescue him but is stopped by Cheenu and Aniket. On the other hand, Surili removes her sari and leaves it behind in the jungle. She then puts on an act of being horrified. Vidya says that they must save him save Samir by going near the riverside but Sagar accuses her of pushing Samir away into the jaws of death. Everyone is stunned! Samir is thrown out of the raft. When the family sees the empty raft, Sindoora gets worried about Surili and she being in big trouble if Samir dies. However, they soon see Samir hanging on to a rock. Sagar goes near the waterfall to help Samir. Just then a man comes down the waterfall and rescues Sagar and Samir. Everyone is relieved and surprised to see that the saviour is none other than Tushar, Sagar's best friend from college days. Sindoora then informs Tushar that Vidya, the one they had trusted the most, was responsible for Samir's accident! She introduces Vidya to Tushar. Vidya pleads innocence but Sindoora accuses her of stooping to any extent because of her hatred! Vidya replies that she loves Samir so much that she has even got distanced from her own husband! Surili demands to know from Vidya how Sagar had seen her pushing Samir's raft! Sagar asserts that it was indeed Vidya whom he had seen and she was wearing the same colour sari. Vidya swears that it was not her, so Surili stokes the fire again by asking Vidya whether Sagar was lying! Sindoora berates Uma for choosing Vidya as a daughter-in-law.
