The Hindi TV show Kundali Bhagya is about Karan and Preeta, who separated 20 years ago. Preeta suffers from memory loss and lives with her son, Rajveer. Karan is with their other son, Shourya. A concerned and determined Rajveer promises to give Preeta justice.
Preeta and Srishti Arora leave their native Nasik for Mumbai following the death of their father to be with their mother, Sarla Arora. Preeta meets the Luthra family and is given a job as a physiotherapist by their matriarch, Bani Luthra. She meets Bani’s younger grandson Karan, and they get married.
They eventually have twin sons and name them Rudraksh and Shaurya. Karan slips into a coma, and Preeta is forced out of the Luthra family home. Rudraksh is later renamed to Rajveer. Rajveer develops into a generous, caring, and intelligent adult. Shaurya, who resides with the Luthra family, is spoilt and overindulged as a child.
Shaurya's reckless driving causes a collision involving Preeta and Rajveer, and Shaurya gets arrested. Through Preeta’s aunt, they are able to rent a room from Dr. Palki Khurana, who also provides them with medical treatment. Shaurya and Rajveer develop hatred and a desire for vengeance. Later, Preeta forgives Shaurya and earns a warm spot in Shaurya’s heart.

Kundali Bhagya is a spin-off of the well-known Hindi TV show “Kumkum Bhagya”, and was aired immediately afterwards.

The title track was composed by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan, and Loy and sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Richa Sharma, and Shankar Mahadevan.
