The staff at the educational institute honour Vasundhara and Arun. Saraswathy grieves over Chinnu’s plight. She goes to meet Ishwarprasad.

Saraswathy gives food to Ishwarprasad. Vasundhara entrusts the responsibility of the school in Ooty to Vanaja. Vanaja shares her problem with her mother. Saraswathy reminisces about her childhood.

Ishwarprasad praises Vasundhara and Jagannathan at the school. The collector and his wife reach the school. Hearing Shyamala boast about things unsettles Vasundhara. Arun reaches Saraswathy’s wedding.

Uma speaks to Arun for Vasundhara. Arun learns of Vasundhara’s wish. He opposes Ishwarprasad and decides to relocate to the city. They both reach Uma’s house.

Vasundhara and her family move to the city with the gold Uma gave Arun. This causes Ishwarprasad to abandon Uma and Jagannathan. Vasundhara builds a school with the money her recieves from the gold.

Uma goes into labour. Jagannathan takes her to a hospital in the city and later informs Arun about it. Vasundhara hesitates to go to the hospital with Arun.

Vasundhara takes Uma to the operation theatre. The dean inspects Vasudhara’s school. Uma breaths her last during the surgery. Jagannathan criticises Arun, who reaches the hospital after Uma's death.

Radhamani gets new clothes for Preethi. Vasundhara insults and ousts Ishwarprasad, who visits her. Saraswathy advises Ishwarprasad, who tries to commit suicide.
