Pavitra apologises to Baa and says that she cannot look after the house the way Menka did. But Baa orders that Menka hand over the house and safe keys to Pavitra right away. An emotional Menka tells Baa that she had sacrificed 20 years of her life for the sake of the family and its members, and asks whether one mistake had destroyed it all! However, Baa asserts her decision. Menka throws the keys in anger and the glass table breaks. Just then Suryakant comes home. Suryakant tries to pacify Menka but in vain. Later, Baa politely explains to Menka that it's time for her to rest and hand over her responsibilities to the younger generation. Halki and Phulki too taunt Menka in an indirect way! Pavitra returns the keys to Baa and says that she cannot accept it if it causes grief to Menka. Baa is impressed and asks Menka to personally give the keys to Pavitra, so Menka has to oblige. Meanwhile, Dhara tries in vain to convince Bhavishya again that Saraswati is not Preeti but he walks away. Dhara then shows Bhavishya the photographs of Saraswati and Preeti, and asks him to see the difference! But Bhavishya warns Dhara not to interfere between Preeti and him! He then sees Saraswati and says that something is missing, so he walks up to Dhara and says that the necklace around her neck would look very good on his Preeti! Saraswati and Lakshmi smile triumphantly!
