Saloni and Neel are depressed and remember the good times they had spent together. However, Saloni feels bad when she recalls how her mother, Ambica, had insulted Neel when he'd sung a song on Shubra's birthday. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Neel quits his job and decides to leave the city. Aapji, Neel's caretaker, encourages Neel to face the situation. However, he feels sorry for Neel all the same, and decides to do something for him. Aapji then meets Saloni's parents and requests them to consider Neel and Saloni's alliance. Ambica gets furious and chides Aapji. She insults him and shows him the door. She also warns him of dire consequences if Neel ever tries to meet Saloni. Aapji feels humiliated and walks out. However, he is shocked when he sees Neel near the door.

A furious Neel accuses Ambica of stealing Saloni's happiness. Ambica loses her cool, but before she can say anything, Neel walks away. Ambica then tells Gayatri not to tell Saloni about this confrontation. Later, Shubra taunts Saloni saying that her fianc looks like an uncle as he is quite older than her. Saloni feels bad, but does not say anything. Ambica feels elated when Padma phones her and tells her that her son, Kunjan (Chaitanya Adib) is interested in taking Saloni out for dinner. Ambica tells her that she has no objection. Saloni does not approve of this and tells Ambica that she does not wish to go out anywhere with Kunjan, but Ambica manages to convince her. Meanwhile, Samar is shocked when Kaveri tells him that she will die if he does not marry her. Later, while having dinner, Saloni is taken aback to see Neel singing. Neel gets depressed to see Saloni with Kunjan. Saloni feels uncomfortable when Kunjan tries to kiss her and get physical. Neel loses his cool and tries to stop Kunjan from misbehaving, but Kunjan gets irked with this intrusion and both have a brawl.

Saloni is shocked to see Neel and Kunjan fighting, and before things can go worse, she intervenes and takes Kunjan away. However, Saloni is shocked when Kunjan asks her to accompany him to his friend's farmhouse and watch some adult movies together. An infuriated Saloni gets out of his car and returns home. Ambica is shocked when Saloni comes home crying. Saloni tells Ambica everything about the incident. Ambica consoles Saloni, but at the same time tells her to forget everything as they can't afford to break her alliance. The next day, Kaveri meets Shubra and she tells her that she can't live without Samar. Shubra then instigates Samar and tells him that he is just being made a scapegoat. Shubra urges Samar not to waste his entire life for Saloni, who is not serious about her alliance with Kunjan. Later, at the time of Samar's engagement, everyone is shocked when he arrives with Kaveri and announces that he has married her.

Vijay Singh accuses Narpat of maligning their image and walks away. An infuriated Narpat chides Samar for betraying their trust. Kaveri tries to apologise to Ambica, but she accuses her of misleading Samar. In a fit of rage, Narpat throws Samar out of his house and forbids him from ever coming back. Meanwhile, Neel gets excited when he is approached by Rewa Sehgal (Barkha Madan), a famous music director. Aapji is equally elated when Neel informs him about this. Neel tells him that he will be leaving for Mumbai to work with Rewa. On the other hand, Kaveri is fuming with anger, but her father, Chaudhary, calms her down and assures that everything will be soon all right. Saloni is shocked when Shubra holds her responsible for everything. In order to ease her parents' burden, Saloni meets Padma with a request to waive off her demand for dowry.

Padma gets furious with Saloni's request and makes it clear that she will not change her mind. In a fit of rage, Saloni returns the engagement ring and thus calls off her engagement with Kunjan. Kunjan is shocked and forces Saloni to apologise. However, Saloni slaps him and walks away. On the other hand, Manno Bhabhi tries to convince Narpat to accept Kaveri as her father is willing to give more dowry than Vijay Singh. However, before Narpat can make his mind, Padma calls Ambica and informs about Saloni's misbehaviour. Ambica is taken aback and chides Saloni but Saloni does not repent her action. Later, Ambica feels relieved when Manno Bhabhi informs her that Padma is willing to make Saloni her daughter-in-law, only if Saloni apologises to her. However, everyone is shocked when Saloni refuses to bow.

Ambica gets furious and chides Saloni for making the blunder. She asks Saloni to apologise to Padma, but Saloni remains adamant. However, Saloni reluctantly agrees when Narpat requests her. Ambica feels relieved and asks Narpat to forgive Samar and call him back, but Narpat does not listen to her. Nevertheless, Manno Bhabhi assures Ambica that she will manage everything and takes her to meet Chaudhary. On the other hand, Neel reaches Mumbai and meets Rewa. Meanwhile, Ambica feels pleased when Chaudhary tells her that he can give 4 million as dowry if they accept Kaveri. Ambica indirectly assures Chaudhary that she will do the needful. Meanwhile, Padma tells Kunjan that Saloni's parents are now willing to give 4 lacs more as dowry and advises him to accept the alliance. She further tells him that he can take revenge from Saloni once she is married to him. Later, Ambica and Narpat apologise to Padma and request her to revive the alliance of Saloni and Kunjan. However, when Saloni tries to apologise by touching Padma's feet, Padma insults Saloni by moving her feet back.

Saloni apologises to Padma, but Padma continues to insult her. Padma then throws the engagement ring and Saloni humbly picks it up and wears it. Narpat and Ambica are also shocked but remain silent. Later, in order to arrange enough money for Saloni's marriage, Narpat meets Mohanlal, a moneylender, but returns dejected. The next day, Narpat goes against his principles and accepts bribe from one of his clients. Meanwhile, Saloni meets Samar and confronts him for going against their father, but Kaveri intervenes and tells Saloni that she is responsible for everything. Saloni is shocked when Kaveri tells her that to arrange enough money for her dowry Samar was forced to marry with a girl of a questionable character. On the other hand, Chaudhary meets Narpat at his office and requests him to accept Samar and Kaveri, but Narpat refuses. At the same juncture, officers from the anti-corruption bureau walk into his office, leaving Narpat shocked as he had accepted the bribe.

Saloni is heartbroken to know the truth and walks away weeping bitterly. On the other hand, Narpat is shocked when the ACB officials hold him guilty for accepting a bribe. However, before they can arrest Narpat, Chaudhary intervenes and requests the officials to forgive Narpat. Since the ACB officers are, in reality, Chaudhary's aides, they walk away after giving a word of warning to Narpat. Narpat feels embarrassed and obligated towards Chaudhary. Later, Ambica feels elated when Narpat expresses his desire to bring Samar and Kaveri home. Everyone is happy with this decision and Chaudhary thanks Narpat for accepting his daughter as his daughter-in-law. Kaveri receives a grand welcome by Samar's parents. However, Kaveri feels humiliated when Saloni returns her gift to her. Saloni humbly tells Kaveri that being elder to her, she is not supposed to accept gifts from her, but Kaveri takes it as an offence and complains to Narpat. Narpat chides Saloni, while Kaveri sports a vicious smile.

Saloni is taken aback with Narpat's behaviour, but feels good when Gayatri comforts her. Samar does not like the way Kaveri behaved with Saloni and brings this to Kaveri's notice, but she simply ignores him. The next morning, Kaveri gets curious when she sees Gayatri with Dhananjay, their driver. Later, Ambica gets tense when Padma calls her and indirectly asks her to arrange the money for Saloni's wedding. However, Manno Bhabhi assures her that she will handle the situation. Meanwhile, Narpat is surprised when Chaudhary arrives at his place unannounced. Further he is shocked when Chaudhary tries to give him a bag containing huge cash, but Narpat refuses to accept. Though Chaudhary tries to convince him to accept it as dowry, Narpat remains adamant. However, Chaudhary gives the money to Kaveri, much to Ambica's dismay. Ambica gets worried as she had planned to give the money to Padma. On the other and, Neel phones Aapji and gets shocked when he comes to know about Saloni's broken engagement. Aapji tells Neel that he should not wait anymore and express his feelings to Saloni. At the same juncture Saloni also arrive. Saloni tells Neel that she has something important to tell him. Neel says that even he has something important to speak but tells her that it cannot be said over the phone. Neel says that he will soon meet her and talk to her. Later, Saloni is pleasantly surprised to see her snaps all over inside Neel's wardrobe.

Saloni is shocked to know that Neel loves her. When Ritu, Saloni's friend, comes to know of this, she suggests to Saloni to elope and get married to Neel. Meanwhile, Ambica tells Manno Bhabhi about her dilemma as she does not have money to give to Padma. Manno Bhabhi urges Ambica to get the money from Kaveri diplomatically. Shubra overhears this conversation and tells Kaveri to be careful as Ambica is planning to use the money on Saloni's wedding. Later, Ambica meets Kaveri and asks for the money which Chaudhary has given her. However, before she can say anything else, Narpat calls her. On the other hand, Saloni is taken aback when Gayatri also encourages her to run away and get married to Neel. However, Saloni does not feel it right to disgrace her family for her happiness. Later, Ambica is shocked when Kaveri deliberately gives her money in front of Narpat.

Before Narpat can chide Ambica for asking money from Kaveri, Ambica quickly cooks a story and saves her day. The next day, Chaudhary meets Narpat at his office and indirectly forces him to sign some of his official documents. As a token of appreciation, Chaudhary then gifts Narpat his gold pen. Narpat gives the pen to Saloni, and Shubra feels insulted. She confronts Narpat and accuses him of always ignoring her. Narpat gets furious and in a fit of rage, throws away the pen. The next day, Ambica is surprised when Kunjan arrives and expresses his desire to take out Saloni in his new car. Saloni obliges unwillingly. However, she gets irked when Kunjan takes her to a local doctor who suggests her some creams and lotion to get rid of her dark complexion. On the other hand, Ambica is taken aback when Kaveri refuses to give her money and confronts her. Further, Kaveri also tells Narpat that Ambica is demanding money from her. Narpat feels bad and chides Ambica. Later in the evening, an infuriated Ambica gets irked when she comes to know that Kaveri has decided to change her room with Saloni and Shubra. She chides Samar and forbids Kaveri from changing her room. Saloni feels bad when Kaveri confronts Ambica and accuses her of eyeing her money. A furious Ambica walks away, while Saloni tries to reprimand Kaveri. Saloni gets furious when Kaveri alleges that the entire family is greedy for money. Before Saloni can say anything to defend her family, Kaveri shocks her by telling that Narpat was caught by the ACB officials for accepting bribe the other day.

Saloni is taken aback with Kaveri's allegations and finds it hard to believe her. She tells Kaveri that she is lying, but Kaveri tells her that she even has proof. In order to prove herself, Kaveri tells Saloni to ask Narpat how he got the gold pen. Saloni is shattered. The next day, Manno Bhabhi tells Ambica that she should do something to get hold of the money as Padma has threatened to call off the engagement if she does not get the money at the earliest. Ambica then decides to speak to Samar and asks him to convince Kaveri. Ambica speaks to Samar, who assures her that he will convince Kaveri. Shubra overhears this conversation and informs Kaveri. When Samar asks for the money, Kaveri makes it clear that she will not give the money to anyone. Kaveri later meets Saloni and accuses her of creating a rift between Samar and her. Later, Saloni shocks everyone by announcing that she is not interested in marrying.

Everyone is shocked with Saloni's decision of not marrying. Manno Bhabhi and Narpat try their best to convince Saloni, but she remains adamant. Later, Saloni tells Narpat that she does not want him to put his principles to test and go against his ethics. However, the next day, Narpat calls Chaudhary and asks to lend him some money. Narpat feels relieved when Chaudhary agrees. However, Narpat is shocked when Chaudhary asks him to sign an official document. Chaudhary makes it clear that he is not giving him any loan, but a token of appreciation for clearing his file. With no option left, Narpat signs the file and takes the money. Ambica is thrilled to see the cash and Manno Bhabhi suggests to her that they should go to Padma immediately. However, they are surprised when Padma arrives there unannounced. Padma then shocks everyone by calling off her son's engagement with Saloni. Padma tells them that she waited long enough for them, but has now fixed her son's alliance elsewhere, and was also getting more money in dowry. Saloni is shattered and walks away, while Kaveri sports a vicious smile.

Everyone in Saloni's family is shattered with this unpleasant event. Ambica accuses Narpat for not arranging the money on time. She confronts Narpat and holds Saloni also responsible for bringing disgrace to their family. Narpat goes into depression. Later, Saloni gets irked when Kaveri feigns her sympathy and tells that her father can revive her alliance with Kunjan if Narpat requests him. The next day, Saloni is shocked to see Narpat lying motionless on the floor, with an empty bottle of poison in his hand. Ambica is also shocked to see this and rushes to call Samar for help.

Narpat is rushed to the hospital, and Saloni is shocked when Ambica prohibits her from coming to hospital as she considers her to be a jinx. Everyone gets worried when the doctor refuses to attend to Narpat. The doctor tells Samar that since it is a case of suicide, he can't examine Narpat without the permission from the police. However, Chaudhary intervenes and lures the doctor with money. The doctor obliges and Chaudhary assures Ambica and Samar that Narpat will be soon all right. Meanwhile, Saloni does not feel like staying at home and goes to the hospital. Ambica gets irked to see Saloni and starts chiding her. However, everyone gets relieved when Narpat regains consciousness. Ambica again forbids her from meeting Narpat. Saloni feels bad and cries bitterly. Later, Saloni sneaks into the Narpat's room, but soon Ambica arrives and starts chiding Saloni. Narpat gets furious, but before he can do anything to stop Ambica, he falls from the bed and faints.

Saloni thanks God when the doctor tells that Narpat is out of danger, but at the same time warns them to maintain discipline. Ambica again scolds Saloni, and holds her responsible for Narpat's condition. Meanwhile, Aapji calls Neel and informs him about Narpat's accident. Neel realises Saloni's plight and decides to return. On the other hand, Rewa asks Mandy (Pragatie Mehra), her assistant, to organise a press conference to announce the launch of Neel. Mandy tells Rewa that she should not trust Neel as she feels that he may also dump her like her previous boyfriend did, but Rewa tells Mandy that Neel is different, and tells her to start working on the press conference. However, both are shocked when Neel tells Rewa that there is an emergency and he will have to leave for his hometown. Mandy gets irked, but Rewa tells her to cancel the conference and make the arrangements for Neel. Meanwhile, Narpat tells everyone not to force Saloni to get married. Saloni feels good, much to Ambica's dismay. Mandy tells Neel that Rewa will incur a huge loss if the conference is cancelled. Neel feels bad and calls Saloni. Saloni urges him to stay back there and assures him that she is all right.

Ambica chides Kaveri for informing Padma that Narpat attempted to commit suicide, but Kaveri remains unmoved. Later in the evening, Saloni goes to the hospital to get some medicines. On her way back, Kunjan forcibly pulls her in his car and tries to rape her. However, Dhananjay, Saloni's driver, foils Kunjan's devious plan and thrashes him. Though Kunjan is arrested, the case is not registered against him. Narpat and Ambica thank Dhananjay for saving Saloni and decide to go to the police station, but Manno Bhabhi stops them and assures them that she will seek revenge. Meanwhile, Padma is shocked when she comes to know that Kunjan tried to rape Saloni. She requests the cop to release Kunjan, but the cop does not listen to her. However, the cop tells Padma that Kunjan's fate now depends on Saloni's decision. Padma meets Manno Bhabhi and requests her to save Kunjan. However, she is shocked when Manno Bhabhi tells Padma to apologise to Saloni first. Padma is taken aback, but bows to Manno Bhabhi's demands. Everyone in Saloni's family feels relieved when Padma asks Saloni to apologise her.

Rewa takes Neel to a discotheque. Though Neel does not like the ambience, Rewa tells him that he should get used to it, and asks him to enjoy the party. However, Rewa's party is interrupted when Uday, Rewa's ex-boyfriend and a renowned singer, arrives. Neel gets furious when Uday forces Rewa to dance with him. Neel intervenes and tries to take Rewa away. Neel is shocked when Uday pounces on him. Rewa is shocked to see the brawl and intervenes, but before she can leave with Neel, Uday stabs Neel, leaving everyone in utter shock. Neel is rushed to the hospital where the doctor tells Rewa that his condition is very critical. Rewa informs Aapji about the accident. Aapji is also shocked and tries to inform Saloni about it, but Ambica does not let him speak to Saloni. Meanwhile, an infuriated Rewa barges into Uday's place and warns him of dire consequences if anything happens to Neel. Later, Rewa organises a press conference and tells the reporters that Uday attempted to kill Neel. On the other hand, Saloni is shocked when she sees the news of Neel's accident on TV. She requests Narpat to let her go to Mumbai to meet Neel, but Ambica chides her and forbids her from meeting Neel. However, Saloni decides to go to Mumbai.

Saloni leaves for Mumbai, leaving behind a note of apology for her parents. However, Kaveri changes the note and instigates everyone by making them believe that Saloni has eloped. Ambica gets furious and chides Narpat for being lenient with Saloni. Narpat also gets angry as he feels that Saloni has breached his trust. Saloni reaches Mumbai and Aapji is shocked to see her at the hospital. Saloni gets emotional seeing Neel lying unconscious. On the other hand, Ambica loses her cool with Kaveri for informing Chaudhary about Saloni's incident. When Aapji comes to know that Saloni has come against her parents' permission, he insists that she call her place and have a word with her parents. However, Saloni is shocked when Narpat tells him that she has disgraced him. Moreover, Ambica forbids Saloni from ever returning to them.

Saloni is shattered and tells Aapji that she has breached her parents' trust. Aapji suggests to Saloni to go back to her parents' place, but Saloni tells Aapji that she cannot leave Neel in such a critical condition. Rewa meets Saloni and assures her that Neel will be all right, but they are shocked when the doctor tells them that they need a donor to donate kidney as both the kidneys of Neel have been damaged. Aapji and Saloni volunteer to donate their kidneys. Rewa is impressed with this. The doctor tells Aapji and Saloni that if their blood groups match with Neel, only then they can donate their kidneys. Later, Aapji meets the doctor and requests him to tell Saloni that her blood group does not match with Neel as there would be problem for her if her family comes to know of this. On the other hand, Saloni is shocked when her alter ego confronts her and urges her to admit that she loves Neel.

Saloni's alter ego manages to convince Saloni that she should express her love to Neel and marry him. Later, Aapji feels relieved when the doctor tells him that his blood group matches with Neel's and he can donate his kidney to him. Saloni and Rewa also feel good, but Mandy is frustrated. She tells Rewa that she is wasting her time and money for Neel. However, Rewa tells Mandy that she is doing all this because she loves Neel. Saloni overhears this and is shocked. On the other hand, Kaveri feels elated when she sees Gayatri and Dhananjay chatting together. With a heavy heart, Saloni decides to go away from Neel's life as she feels that Rewa is perfect for him.

Saloni is shocked to know that Neel's operation will cost 4 lacs. She feels nervous as she does not know how the money will be arranged. Mandy gets irked when Rewa tells her that she has made the arrangement for Neel's operation. Later, Saloni sees a ray of hope when she overhears Rewa telling Mandy that there is a singing competition in which the winner will get 5 lacs. Saloni goes for the audition, but there arises a misunderstanding as Ravi Bhushan (Firdosh Mevawalla), the organiser, feels that Rewa has recommended her. Ravi calls Mandy and gets irked when he comes to know that Rewa has not recommended Saloni. He accuses Saloni of being a cheater and shows her the door. On the other hand, Mandy tells Rewa that Saloni is so greedy that she had gone for the singing competition. Rewa finds it hard to believe. Meanwhile, Saloni meets Ravi's assistant, the one responsible for creating the misunderstanding and makes herself clear that she never told him that Rewa has recommended her. Saloni also makes him realise how important the competition is for her. Ravi's assistant decides to give Saloni a chance. While giving the auditions, Ravi gets impressed with Saloni and allows her to participate in the competition. However, when Saloni is called on the stage to perform, she gets nervous and walks away. Later, Ravi's assistant encourages Saloni and she decides to sing.
