
Indian cinema is no longer just a hero and heroine entertainment. Promising actors like Rahaao have proved their worth in the Bollywood industry. Fortunately, audiences are now equally invested in the performance brilliance of these supporting actors.
Rahaao has been appearing in Indian cinemas for over a decade now. He made his Hindi theatrical debut with the movie Special 26 along with Akshay Kumar in 2013.
He also appeared in regional language movies like Killing Veerappan and Thupakki, a Tamil film starring Vijay, Vidyut Jamwal, and Kajal Aggarwal.
Rahaao has admitted several times that his journey to Bollywood was never easy. But his dream of becoming an actor kept him awake and persistent. The Special 26 actor remembered that he decided on his dream career as an actor at an early age.
He went to see a patriotic play where he saw Bhagat Singh's brother, Kartar Singh. He was in 5th standard then, and at that age, he knew what he was made for.
After graduating from a college in Shahjahanpur, he applied for the National School of Drama but could not get through it. However, he got into Bhartendu Natya Akademi on his third attempt in 2008. He polished his acting skills under the guidance of Raj Bisaria and Suryamohan Kulshreshtha.
Rahaao recalls that for a first-generation schoolgoer, it was a dream come true sequence when he started living his life as an actor. Rahaao belongs to Lukmanpur Baheda village of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Rahaao started acting in theatre plays while pursuing his graduation in Shahjahanpur. He acted in several theatres under the mentorship of Padma Sri Raj Bisaria. He even bagged the role of the multilayered character of King Lear under the guidance of BNA mentors.
Rahaao did as many as 50 shows at different places in the country for the play Shifa.When he was contended with his career in the small town of Shahjahanpur, he left his hometown to dive deep into his acting career. He risked his career and came to Mumbai to pursue his dream.
Rahaao is better known for his character Ismail Khan in the movie, The Attacks of 26/11. He played the leader of a terrorist gang in Ram Gopal Verma's movie. Rahaao played one of the group members of the Special 26 team, but he said that his role was small and he was just someone in the crowd.
Rahaao then appeared in multiple movies and web series as a supporting cast. The list ofRahaao moviesincludes 'Baby' (2015), 'Neerja' (2016), 'Thupakki' (2012), 'Killing Veerappan' (2016), 'Nautanki Saala' (2013), 'Khandani Shafakhana' (2019), 'Kissebaaz' (2019), 'India's Most Wanted' (2019), 'Flight of Freedom' (2018), 'Bala' (2018), 'Les Cowboys' (2015), 'Yudh' (2014), 'Mum Bhai' (2020), 'Shershah' (2021), and Rakshabandhan (2022).
In Rahaao's film, 'Shershah' he played the role of a Pakistani officer. In an interview, he said that most of his roles have been the characters of Pakistani officers or agents. However, he played a positive role in the movie, 'Killing Veerappan'. He played the role of Gandhi in that movie
Rahaao admits that sustaining in the industry is challenging even after doing 16 to 17 movies, and he enjoys every bit of it. He says his thirst for acting is so severe that he never gives up on his dream.
After a decade in the movie industry, Rahaao believes that he never took all these years as his struggling days but as a valuable learning phase. He is eager to take up big roles in good movies but does not mind being a part of a big movie as a supporting character.
In 2019, he played the character 'Roop' in a short film, 'Chalne Do'.
The promising actor has several projects, and he believes his hard work is paying off. Rahaao's new movie, Haddi, is a promising and thrilling plotline to entertain its fanbase in different aspects.Haddi is a multi-star revenge thriller drama starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anurag Kashyap, and Ila Arun in pivotal roles.
Rahaao's upcoming movieswill be available to stream on the OTT ZEE5. Rahaao is greatly inspired by Ram Gopal Verma and Neeraj Pandey, who turned directors into actors. Fans believe that the tenacity and indomitable spirit of Rahaao will take him to the peak of his career shortly.
