Tribune News ServiceLudhiana August 19Member of Legislative Assembly MLA Surinder Kumar Dawar and Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Thursday launched a unified state helpline 1100 for non-emergency government services besides dedicated a state admission portal for government collegesMeanwhile they also dedicated an integrated online admission portal for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in government collegesVerification of applicants would also be contact less as the portal was linked to all state boards as well as the CBSE through DigiLockerThey said caste certificate and domicile certificate of the applicants would be auto-verified by the portalThey added that the digital admission system would be helpful for students to get admission in any college by visiting and seeking seats in government colleges by sitting at their homes
