Raja Sundaram allows Mallika to enter the house and scolds Muthu for speaking rudely to her. Varadarajan argues with Raja Sundaram, who decides to first visit Subbalakshmi. Karikalan helps an old man.

Varadarajan slaps Varalakshmi for visiting Subbalakshmi. Meanwhile, Nandhini stops Malar’s wedding and encourages her to write her exams. Later, Karikalan helps Nandini when she falls from the bike.

Nandini gets annoyed when Karikalan takes her to the hospital. Varadarajan requests Raja Sundaram to get Vanathi and Karikalan married. Manimekalai steps forward to welcome Arul but Kalyani stops her.

Arul’s family is happy to receive gifts from him. Kalyani sulks when Arul praises Manimekalai’s cooking. Vanathi prepares Arul’s favourite snack, but Varadarajan scolds her.

Varadarajan stops Vanathi from going to meet Arul. Varadarajan tells Dakshayani the reason for stopping Vanathi. Vanathi saves a child when a blindfolded Arul gets ready to shoot a balloon.

Subbulakshmi pacifies Varalakshmi as she expresses her grief. Vanathi wins the competition as Arul damages Nandini's form. Arul attacks the goons, who argue with Nandini.

Varadarajan punishes Varalakshmi for talking to Subbalakshmi, but Vanathi stops him. Raja Sundaram decides to confront Varadarajan. Karikalan learns about the enmity between Damodaran and Varadarajan.

Varadarajan talks about Vanathi’s wedding to Raja Sundaram. Karikalan rushes Subbalakshmi to the hospital as she faints. Raja Sundaram visits Subbalakshmi and assures her when she expresses her wish.

Assuming that Subbalakshmi deliberately foiled his plan of getting Vanathi and Karikalan engaged, Varadarajan scolds Varalakshmi. Raja Sundaram scolds Varadarajan for humiliating Subbalakshmi.

Varalakshmi enquires about Subbalakshmi's health. To win Arul’s love, Vanathi decides to cook for him. Kalyani argues with Gunasekaran when Raja Sundaram decides to get Nandini and Arul married.

Arul cuts a cake and surprises Nandini on her birthday. The next day, Subbalakshmi and Vanathi are confused to see a bouquet of flowers in front of the house.

Vanathi lies to Varalakshmi and tries to go to meet Arul. Arul carries Nandini in his arms when she refuses to go with him on the bike. Vanathi waits for Arul and is dismayed to see Karikalan.

Nandini and Arul visit the temple, but Vanathi fails to see them. Karikalan helps Vanathi to tie the wish thread on the tree. Raja Sundaram takes a decision when he spots Karikalan and Vanathi.

Varadarajan is happy to know that Vanathi went to the temple with Karikalan. Varadarajan refuses to invite Raja Sundaram to Dakshayani's baby shower. Vanathi tattoos Arul's name on her hand.

Varadarajan invites Raja Sundaram and his family to the baby shower. He closes the door upon Raja Sundaram's arrival. Raja Sundaram sets a condition when Varadarajan talks about Vanathi’s wedding.

Varadarajan gets agitated when Nandini accidentally throws water at him. Subbalakshmi is glad to be invited to Dakshayani’s baby shower. Vanathi tries to profess her love to Arul.

Subbalakshmi steps forward to perform the rituals for Dakshayani, but Varadarajan stops her. Kalyani is aghast when Raja Sundaram announces his decision. Vanathi and Karikalan’s wedding is fixed.

Angry with Raja Sundaram’s decision to marry Arul and Nandini, Kalyani raises a ruckus. Arul agrees to drop Nandini to college. Kalyani argues with Manimegalai, who gives work to Veeraiyan.

Varalakshmi is disheartened as Varadarajan shares his evil ploy to humiliate Subbalakshmi. Sathya is happy as Karikalan gifts her a video game. Kalyani looks for an affluent girl for Arul.

Kalyani argues with Raja Sundaram and refuses for Nandini and Arul's marriage. Gunasekaran slaps Kalyani for speaking rudely to Raja Sundaram. The astrologer lies about Arul and Nandini’s horoscope.

Varalakshmi is happy about Vanathi and Karikalan’s wedding. Kalyani argues with Gunashekaran on learning about the remedial puja. Veeraiyan assures Kalyani that he will stop the ritual.

Kayal is astonished to see a change in Karikalan. Vanathi’s family considers it an ill-omen when the lotus from her plate falls into the pond. Karikalan dives into the pond and brings out the lotus.

Kalyani asks Veeraiyan to stop Arul and Nandini’s wedding. Vanathi is sad to see Nandini and Arul conducting the ‘parihara puja’. To stop the ritual, Veeraiyan sets Subbalakshmi’s sari on fire.

Vanathi buys medicine for Arul's injury. When the bell that Nandini tied in the temple breaks, Kalyani considers it a bad omen and creates a commotion. Vanathi worries as Arul takes Nandini away.
