Beyond the Clouds is a 2017 Hindi drama film starring Ishaan Khatter, Malavika Mohanan, Gautam Ghose, G.V Sharada, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Heeba Shah. This film is Ishaan Khatter’s debut movie and is inspired by the Iranian film, ‘Children of Heaven’. During a police raid, Aamir, a peddler, crosses path with his estranged sister Tara. While trying to protect her brother from police, Tara lands up in the jail herself. As their life gets clouded with problems, an unexpected ray of hope shines on them from beyond the clouds.

Beyond the Clouds is a movie that revolves around two siblings who reunite in a stressful situation. The movie is about drug dealer Amir and his sister Tara, who is detained for an attempt to murder Akshi. Amir wanted to help Tara but failed as Akshi couldn't speak after gaining consciousness. The suspense movie addresses the importance of human relationships, particularly those made between children, as well as family, sacrifice, and salvation.

Beyond the Clouds is a Hindi film that revolves around Amir, a drug dealer running away from the police. He seeks safety at his sister Taara's laundry workspace. Aamir and his drug cache are hidden by Taara with the assistance of a coworker named Akshi. However, Akshi sees this as an opportunity to attack Taara.  He attacks her but Taara successfully resists, causing Akshi to get brutally injured. Taara and Amir are in a grave dilemma since Akshi is unable to speak. In the midst of their troubles, Taara develops a heartwarming relationship with Chotu, a prisoner's child who is ill, while Aamir muses about giving one of Akshi's daughters to a local prostitute. Nevertheless, as Aamir interacts with her daughters he gradually gains a warm compassion and protective instinct for the family.

Beyond the Clouds was the debut movie of Ishaan Khattar and the Hindi film debut of Malavika Mohanan who later on was seen in the web series Masaba Masaba. 

The movie had its international premieres between October 2017 and February 2018 before it hit theatres. On  20 November 2017, it was shown at the International Film Festival of India.

Beyond the Clouds was the second collaboration between Majid Majidi and A. R. Rahman after MSG.
