Vishakha attends the wedding of her employee Mhatre's daughter. There, she meets the event manager Akash. When Vishakha insults Vasundhara, the latter's mother-in-law takes a vow.

Akash's mother tells him about the puja held for his wedding and he disapproves of it. Akash's chain accidentally falls into Vasundhara's neck and Akash gets perturbed as he loses his chain.

Akash solves his daughters' Chinu and Manu's fight. Vasundhara's son Bunny feeds her noodles on realising that she is hungry. Akash's sister-in-law Avani and Vasundhara's in-laws ask them to remarry.

Akash's words hurt Avani and Baby. Bunny rejoices as Vasundhara aka Vasu brings him a football. Akash apologises to Avani-Baby. After hearing Vishakha's words, Akash's mother Jayu takes a decision.

Baby and Akhil visit Vasu's plant nursery and argue with her over Bunny. Later, unable to meet Vasu, Akash calls Vasu and her talks impress him. Soon after, Vasu stops Vishakha's car on road.

Raghu's sudden arrival on the train makes the Ranades awkward. For Avani's sake, Akhil helps her meet Vasu, and Avani identifies the chain worn by Vasu. Later, she tells Jayu about Vasu.

Vasu's behavior at the shop irks Jayu aka Jayashree. Sushila meets Jayashree at the temple. Akash's and Vasu's families convince them for a yajna. Jayashree makes a decision about Akash's marriage.

Vasu and Akash reluctantly perform a 'yagna'. Jayashree gets annoyed with Avni, who brings Vasu but changes her decision after learning about Akash's story. Later, the Ranade and Thakur families meet.

Vasu feels guilty when an enraged Bunny asks her a question. Akash's aunt, Mangala, instills fear in Chinu and Manu. Due to this, they cry and make a request to Akash. Vasu makes a promise to Bunny.

Vasu is left speechless when Bunny asks about his father. She cries while reading Bunny's letter to his father. Jayashree's husband rebukess her, while Akash informs Jayashree of his decision.

Bunny has a misunderstanding after seeing Akash's photo. Jayashree's husband supports Avni. Akash departs to the office due to an urgency. Sushila stops Vasu from clearing Bunny's misunderstanding.

Bunny is enraged with Vasu for not stopping Akash when he drives by. Vasu's friend advises Vasu, who pours her heart out to her. Jayashree's husband is irked with her for not contacting the Ranades.

Avani tells Madhav that she will go and apologise to the Ranade couple for Jayshree's action. When Sudhir tells Vasu about the Thakur family's condition, Vasu grows furious and refuses to get married.

Vasu gets mad at Avani and Bhaskar when they come home, but they apologise to her. Avani happily tells the whole family that Vasu agreed to marry Akash. However, Akash doubts Vasu.

Madhav arrives at the Ranades to see Vasu. Akash asks Vasu to meet at a cafe, but Vasu is caught up because of Bunny's injury. By the time Vasu arrives, Akash has already left for urgent work.

Guruji asks Akash and Vasu to perform a 'hawan' after checking their birth cards. Vasu apologises to Akash. She misunderstands Akash while he performs 'hawan' in the temple and argues with him.

Akash and Vasu once again miss seeing each other's photos. Vishaka learns about Akhil and Tanaya's relationship. Avani devises a plan for Akash and Vasu to meet and shares it with Sushila.

Bhaskar deliberately takes Akash to a garden for Vasu and Akash to meet. But due to Vasu's misunderstanding, she rebukes Akash and warns him. Madhav tells everyone about Akash and Vasu's engagement.
