The storyline of this movie is straightforward yet beautiful and touching as it shows the life of the Jadhav family and how they came out of the financial crisis, which almost took them to the door of a poverty-engrossed lifestyle.
Makarand had invented an auto part by spending all his wealth. Still, as he belongs to a rural lifestyle and has no education, he was never considered, and his invention was a scrap for everyone.
Jadhav family had lost all their wealth and was going through a challenging period where Suryabhan Rao only blamed his son Makarand for their condition and Dhanajirao, brother of Makarand's second wife, a thief. Makarand's daughter Sayali has a passion for dance and gets selected for a huge Mumbai competition that has a huge cash prize. The Jadhav family decides to attend the competition and leaves for Mumbai on a rickshaw brought by Dhanaji, which had to be pushed quite often to make it start.
They had to face a lot of trouble on their way to Mumbai, starting from police questioning and Kisna's asthma detection to Suryabhan's heart attack. Still, nevertheless, they made it up to the competition venue and witnessed Sayali coming third with a wonderful dance performance.
As the tired family reaches home, they are shocked to hear that a client to whom Makarand had shown his auto part invention had copied it.
What will happen now? Will Makaran get the credit for his invention or will he lose it? Will the financial crisis of the family be settled?
