A lot happens during a war, terror is everywhere, and everyone wants to escape the battlefield, especially innocent citizens. During a war, all the countries try to bring back their citizens from the country at war, but what happens to the citizens that go to the country illegally as they are not officially registered to have gone there? Such a scenario leads to them getting left out by their country.
The plot of this ZEE5 Original Hindi movie revolves around one such family stuck in Iraq during the US invasion of Iraq. During that period came the birthday of the family's 6-year-old boy and the family struggled to do a proper celebration for the boy facing a lot of twists and turns. Devanshu Singh and Satyanshu Singh are the directors of Chintu ka Birthday.
The cast of Chintu ka birthday consists of Vinay Pathak as Madan Tiwari, Tillotama Shome as Sudha Tiwari, Seema Bhargava as Sudha's mother (Nani), Vedant Chibber as Chintu, and other supporting cast members.
In 2004 when the US invaded Iraq, all the countries were bringing back their residents with government planes. The Tiwari family also lived in Iraq during that time but could not evacuate since they went there illegally. During the same time, their six-year-old family member Chintu (played by Vedant Chibber) had his birthday, but it got very difficult for them to arrange a proper celebration for his birthday.
They were not able to get their hands on any decorations or gifts. The cake was also homemade by Chintu's mother, Sudha. In this dire situation, their kind landlord Hassan Mahdi greatly helped them. When two US soldiers came to their area, the landlord hid in their home but got caught soonly after due to making some noise.
After catching Mahdi and observing a few more things there, they thought the Tiwaris might be associated with the terrorists. Parents that just want to celebrate the birthday of their six-year-old son facing such a situation, what will they do and how will they get back to safety?
