The Endearing Plot of the Heartbeat Movie
The movie starts with a conversation between Sanvi and her husband’s soul that is Abhimanyu’s soul. Abhimanyu was an air force pilot in a coma for the last three years and on a ventilator in a hospital.
Abhimanyu tried to convince Sanvi that she should switch off the plug and let him die, but Sanvi didn’t want to do the same. Later, Sanvi is dealing with a situation where she has to decide to end her husband’s life, which is undoubtedly a difficult decision to amend.
Sanvi holds on to Abhimanyu’s belongings all time, even his wristwatch. Sanvi is left with the dilemma, and the real question is whether she still has anything resembling her husband in that body or if the body has just become a cage for his soul. Abhimanyu does not have anything to do as a body because of being in a coma, but he is still alive as the soul trapped in an almost lifeless body, he is still alive.
