Raj Babbar was born on 23rd June, 1952 in Tundla, Uttar Pradesh. Early education held in Agra. He was very fond of films since childhood. He did theater in Patiala, then went to NSD for 3 years course in acting. Raj Babbar faced lot of struggle . Parkash Mehra offered him the first film Sharadha and but he got recognition with "Insaf ka tarazu" Raj ji married to Nadira Babbar and they have two children. Prateek Babbar is the son of Samita Patil and Raj Babbar. Raj has great affection for Punjabi culture.
