In an orthodox society like ours, people find it difficult to accept others that are a detour from the normal. And no one knows this better than Pranit. He found it difficult to blend with normal people’s tastes and preferences, due to his sexuality and interests. He had a feminine side which he was very proud of but society just couldn’t accept him, the way he was. Pranit had to face a hard time in accepting himself and eventually, chose the path to transform into Ganga. She maintains that while it’s a bold step to come ahead and express her views, the change in the mindset of people is a distant dream for her.

It is rightly said, that ‘when people throw stones at you, you make milestones out of them’. Ganga fought back and rose like a phoenix. Today, Ganga, a transwoman, is the talk of the town. She has successfully broken all barriers and bagged the role of a co-host of Yuva Dancing Queen, which is one of the most popular dance reality shows on television today. In an interview to a popular publication, Ganga says that she has always been fascinated by dance and entertainment, and she just cannot stay in one place when there is music around. The Marathi industry is super proud and enthusiastic to take Ganga on board and help break all the social stigmas surrounding transgenders.
