With More Than 25 Awards In 2019, ZEE5 Emerges As A Dominant Player In The OTT Space

The video streaming space in India today is where the smartphone and the cellphone were  about a decade ago. Booming with a plethora of options, more than two dozen OTT platforms are currently offering a variety of content in regional languages. ZEE5, India’s largest ConTech OTT platform has rolled out 100+ originals so far across genres, and is committed to launching 15-20 more by March 2020. It has crossed 90 million+ downloads since its launch on the Play Store and has recorded a peak 8.9 million DAUs, as of September 2019. Emerging as a giant in the OTT space, the platform bagged top honours at coveted and prestigious awards shows across different categories.

Earlier in August 2019, ZEE5 lifted the Best Online Streaming Platform Award (2019) at Provoke Awards 3.0. Kaafir, a ZEE5 Original web series starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina in the lead roles, bagged the Best Web Series OTT (Critics) Trophy at the Gold Awards in 2019.
