Vikram Prabhu, Amy Jackson, Jayam Ravi And Others Mourn Sushant Singh Rajput’s Demise

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was last seen on the big screen in Nitesh Tiwari’s film Chhichhore (2019), breathed his last on Sunday (June 14). Reportedly, the 34-year-old actor was found hanging at his Bandra residence. The Mumbai Police confirmed the actor’s death as a suicide, however, there was no suicide note found at the actor’s residence. The news of Sushant Singh’s untimely death has sent shockwaves across the country not only within the film fraternity but also among the leaders, politicians and other eminent personalities, who are condoling the passing away of the actor.

Not only Bollywood but also Kollywood celebrities took to their respective social media pages to pay tribute to the actor. Sushant Singh is  a renowned face among the Tamil fans too, owing to his portrayal of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in ‎Neeraj Pandey’s film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Therefore, celebs from the South film industry like Vikram Prabhu, Amy Jackson, Anjali, Jayam Ravi and Raiza Wilson, among others have mourned the actor’s demise. Vellaikaara Durai’s Vikram Prabhu took to the micro-blogging site to write, “Loved him as Dhoni. This way shouldn’t have been a choice. Shocking and uneasy to think about. RIP #SushantSinghRajput. (sic)”

Jayam Ravi

Meanwhile, Comali actor Jayam Ravi, too, expressed his grief in a tweet. He wrote that the actor has gone too soon and that it’s a huge loss to the film industry. Jayam Ravi’s tweet read, “RIP #SushantSinghRajput A bright talent gone too soon! #MentalHealthMatters is a real thing.. let’s act before it’s too late.”

Sushant Singh’s death has left many devastated. Paying tribute to the actor, Amy Jackson wrote on Twitter, “Such tragic news, rest in peace #SushantSinghRajput (sic)”

Amy Jackson then posted a series of tweets that spoke about how the lockdown is taking a toll on people. She also urged her fans and followers to reach out to their loved ones if they are struggling to get through something or not feeling okay.

In another tweet, she wrote, “2020 has been a hard year so far but depression is nothing new – it’s been a global pandemic for years! We must remove the stigma that surrounds #mentalhealth & start addressing conditions with compassion rather than dismissal.”

Pyaar Prema Kaadhal actress Raiza Wilson shared pictures of Sushant to express grief over his death. Alongside the picture, the actress tweeted, “We live in a world where happiness and success are measured on a very wrong parameter. And this is the result.”

Anjali

Sindhubaadh actress Anjali took to the photo-sharing app to give her condolences. Alongside a picture of the actor, Anjali penned an emotional post. Her message read, “Heartbreaking.. Shocked to hear the news of #SushantSingh’s demise. An incredible talent gone too soon. A powerhouse of talent… Too young to go… May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences and strength to the family 🙏 #ripsushant (sic)”

Late Sushant Singh, in a career spanning over a decade, became one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood. He was a part of hit films like Kedarnath, Sonchiriya, and Chhichhore, among more. However, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story remained one of the highlights of his career. On a different note, Sushant’s last rites will be held today in Mumbai. And the actor’s family members arrived from Patna (his hometown) last night. Stay tuned!
