Vikas Dubey Ordered Us To Kill Policemen, Admits Close Aide Shashikant
Shashikant Pandey, a close aide of the slain UP gangster, confessed that he opened fire at the police under the pressure of Vikas Dubey in the Kanpur shootout.
Following his arrest on Tuesday (July 14, 2020), Vikas Dubey’s alleged aide Shashikant Pandey, alias Sonu denied killing Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Devendra Mishra. He said that the slain gangster had ordered the firing at the police team that raided his house on the night intervening on July 2 and 3.
Pandey made the claims to a leading news channel while being taken away by cops after his arrest. On being asked who killed DSP Mishra, he told the news channel that he did not kill him. “They (policemen) were killed very brutally (badi berehemi se maara gaya unko),” Pandey said in a feeble voice.
When asked why did he flee from his house and why did he get his head tonsured, he said, “My mother told me to run away (Maa ne bhaga diya tha). I got my head tonsured because my father (Prem Kumar Pandey) is no more.” Pandey senioe was killed in the encounter with the police in Bikaroo village. Two of Dubey’s alleged accomplices, Prem Prakash Pandey and Atul Dubey, were killed by cops in a shootout in Kanpur.
