The Uttar Pradesh Government took a bold step by demolishing two illegal buildings owned by gangster-turned-politician and the sitting BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) MLA from Mau Mukhtar Ansari in Lucknow’s Dalibagh area. According to the sources, Ansari illegally encroached on government land and constructed buildings. To ensure that no hindrances are caused in demolition, a large number of government officials and police personnel were present in the area.

Sources also say that all the expenses incurred for the demolition will be realised from the gangster by the Yogi Adityanath government. News reports state that the illegal buildings had been constructed on “nishkrant sampatti” which belonged to the people who migrated to Pakistan. Previously, the UP government had also seized illegal properties of Mukhtar Ansari’s aides and had also suspended arms licences of his aides in Ghazipur.
