Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Tests Positive For COVID-19
India’s coronavirus cases have breached the 50 lakh milestone.
Among the 50 lakh people who have contracted COVID-19 in India now stands Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Prior to him, at least seven Union Ministers, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah have tested positive for the coronavirus. Gadkari has tweeted, “Yesterday, I was feeling weak and consulted my Doctor. During the course of my check up, I was tested COVID 19 positive. I am at present doing well with the blessings and good wishes of all. I have isolated myself.”
The Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises also said, “I request everyone who has come in contact with me to be careful and follow the protocol. Stay safe.” Other Union Ministers who have been affected by COVID-19 include Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ayush Minister Shripad Naik, Junior Agriculture Minister Kailash Choudhary, Junior Minister for Heavy Industries and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
