Two Bihar Soldiers Martyred In Jammu-Kashmir Terrorist Attack

Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after terrorists opened fire on a joint naka party of CRPF and Police at Kreeri area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (August 17). The two martyrs, Khurshid Khan and Lavkush Sharma, who hailed from Rohtas and Jehanabad district respectively, in the state of Bihar, were among the three security personnel who were killed in the attack in Baramulla district of the union territory. The third person who died in the attack by suspected militants of the Lashkar-e-Taiba was a policeman.
“The two CRPF soldiers who were injured in the Baramulla attack today have succumbed to their injuries,” said Vijay Kumar, Inspector-General (IG), Jammu and Kashmir Police. Along with the two CRPF personnel, one Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police also died in the firing during a joint naka party of the CRPF and cops at the Kreeri area. The area has been cordoned off and search is underway to nab terrorists.
