In Zee Marathi’s TV show Agga Bai Sasubai, the character of Abhijeet Raje, is that of a cook and a hotel owner who likes to experiment with new dishes and recipes. Some of the dishes that he has been seen preparing on the show are courtesy his then love interest and now wife, Asawari. Even before Asawari and Abhijeet got married, the latter was trying his level best to impress her. He also made use of various tricks to woo her. During one such incident, Abhijeet wanted to learn the recipe of the typical Maharashtrian dish called Gharge. Abhijeet even took the trouble to drop in at Asawari’s house, uninvited. He tried to convince everyone including Soham and Ajoba that all he wanted was to learn the recipe of Gharge. Shubhra had even persuaded Asawari to teach Abhijeet the recipe. However, an embarrassed Asawari had asked Abhijeet to go away. The latter didn’t give up easily and instead, asked Pradnya to teach him the dish. Pradnya couldn’t teach him as she herself didn’t know the recipe. Eventually, Asawari was forced to teach Abhijeet the dish to save him from further trouble.
