The eldest of the lot
In the classroom
Here’s a class photo of the megastar that was shared by his Facebook fan page. Growing up, the actor is said to have been an extremely disciplined and active student. He was an NCC Cadet who got the opportunity to participate in the Republic Day march in Delhi. After completing his graduation, the actor in him took him to the Madras Film Institution.
Take a good look at this sepia-toned photograph! Clearly, he was always meant to be an actor. His journey into stardom began with a cameo in Pranam Khareedu in 1978. Four years later, he featured as the leading man in Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya. However, the breakthrough came in 1983 with his classic hit Khaidi.
Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nandamuri Balakrishna and many other actors are considered to be the second generation of ruling men in the Telugu film industry. Here, we found a picture of them together. Decades later, the three continue to thrive.
The forever knot
Before the actor could cash in on his first big hit, he had tied the knot with his lady luck, in 1980. She happens to be the cousin of actor Venkatesh and the daughter of comedian Allu Ramalingaiah. Together, they have three heirs – actor Ram Charan, and daughters Srija and Sushmita.
Now, the Konidela family has grown manifolds and is full of celebrities, from producers to designers and of course, actors. Since time, the family continues to keep the tradition of meeting everyone on the occasion of Deepavali and Sankranti alive.
