Recently, terrifying news was reported from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU where a girl was forced to wear hijab and burkha in the hostel, and asked to cover her face. The girl came forward and raised her voice against this unlawful act with the help of a social media platform. According to latest reports, AMU Procter, Wasim Ali, has confirmed that a committee will be formed to investigate into this matter. He further added that strict punishment will be given to those who are found guilty.

AMU President, Faizul Hasan said that the AMU campus works on zero-tolerance against such practices and strict action will be taken. He further said that no individual or group has any right to interfere in anyone’s personal choices and if any such incident occurs, it will not be tolerated at the University at any cost.
