Denims. The most comfortable and the most popular piece of fabric ever made. Whether you are a college goer or a star, you are sure to have at least one denim outfit in your wardrobe. And you will never go out of style when you don this universal favourite. But what if you just love denims too much and want to pair denim on denims? Like A Aa star Samantha Akkineni did in this recent photo shoot?

In this shoot, we see Samantha wearing a patchwork denim shirt with puffed sleeves along with flared denims. With her hair kept open and done in soft curls, and a no-makeup look, she pulls off the trend perfectly. She calls it “Love affair with denim on denim.” And guess what? You can take some fashion inspo from her and do the same too. It’s a simple trend to pull off and you can also easily repeat it multiple time by either changing your top or shirt or your trousers or skirts.

However, it is important to remember some cardinal rules while you play around with this fashion trend. But don’t worry, even if you don’t strictly follow fashion rules, with denim you can never go completely wrong unless you overdo it too much.

First things first. If you are trying on the denim on denim trend for the first time, mix up the colours. So you can wear a white denim shirt with blue denim pants or blue denim shirt with black jeans. You won’t go wrong with these colour combos. Don’t combine denim accessories to complete your look. So if you are wearing a denim top or a shirt with a pair of jeans, do not put on a denim cap or a handbag as well. Distressed, or ripped jeans, are a favourite with every millennial. Why not combine your denim shirt with one? A great shade of lipstick, a fancy watch or a pair of heels – they all add a luxurious look to your outfit if you want to switch from the day to the night look.
