Shubhangi Atre Aka Angoori On Fan Moments: Even Asha Bhosle & Pandit Jasraj Watch Our Show
Essaying the comical role of a slightly dumb and naive housewife named Angoori Tiwari, Shubhangi Atre Poorey is seen on the most popular &TV daily-soap Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!. Her character is the wife of Manmohan Tiwari, who runs an undergarment business. The story revolves around two neighbouring couples who live opposite each other in Modern Colony, Kanpur (U.P.). Angoori speaks broken English and the famous “Sahi Pakde Hain!” is her catchphrase. When ZEE5 interviewed her about five fan moments, her answers were full of interesting and shocking experiences!

An excited Shubhangi Atre Poorey begins with spilling the beans on two of her unusual experiences, which we will come to in a bit! As the actress gets ready for the interview, you can see some fan art hanging on the wall, like pencil sketches of her character Angoori. Starting with the fifth-biggest moment, she remembers that three to four buses filled with people from Allahabad had come to visit them on the set. She was only two-three months old on the show and everyone accepted her so gracefully, even though she had replaced another actress. It was an overwhelming experience as all of them screamed “Sahi Pakde Hain!” looking at her!
Next comes the Bhabi Ji medical prescription fan moment! Yes, she says that they got to know that the doctors recommend their patients to watch the show as laughter is the best medicine for people’s sad, stressful, and violent lives. Well, her third-biggest fan moment was that the highly renowned singer, Padma Vibhushan Asha Bhonsle ji recognized her at the ITA (Indian Television Academy) Awards. Shubhangi says that she was shocked when she heard Asha ji calling, “Angoori, Angoori, yahan aao!”
Second, on her list of fan moments was when she learned that a living legend and Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj watches their show. His students told revealed that he doesn’t start his training (riyaaz) until he watches an episode! Shubhangi and her co-stars were overjoyed to see that their show is connecting with people! The first and topmost fan moment was that a young girl, who was a cancer patient, used to watch their show continuously! She is no more now, but when she was at the hospital her parents used to video call the actors and tell them that she sends out love and blessings to them!
