Cleanse the skin with a gentle everyday cleanser and moisturise well. Follow up by gently patting an under-eye moisturiser. Apply a hydrating lip balm after using a lip scrub if the lips are dry and flaky. Use an illuminator on the tops of your cheekbones and apply a matte primer over the rest of the face to lock in the moisturiser and provide a smooth base for the make-up.
Apply a foundation with a beauty blender or buffing brush and blend well. Apply on the undereye area as well to reduce the use of concealer which is thicker. Follow with a same toned concealer on the undereyes and any other areas that require a little more coverage. This will also cover pigmentation. Use a cream contour to lightly contour the cheekbones and under the jaw for definition. It should be well blended with only the shadow visible instead of a stark contour. Apply a cream-based blush on the apples of the cheeks. Brush back towards the hairline. It should be smooth and even. Use a translucent powder on the undereye area with a small fluffy brush to set it and all over the face with a bigger fluffy brush. Allow the skin to settle.
Start with a quick drying cream-based eye shadow in a neutral colour. Apply a wash of a light brown shade all over the eyelid and add a touch of a darker shade to the outer corner. Blend well with a small fluffy brush so the colour transition looks seamless. Use a brown-toned eyeliner and smudge it gently near the lash line. Use a black eyeliner to make a very thin line close to the lashes in order to add definition. Start using a cake liner which can be easier to correct in case the liner is too thick, and go over with a gel liner for a deeper impact. Apply a darker-toned eyeshadow close to the lower lash line with a pencil brush. Curl the lashes and apply mascara liberally.
After making sure the lips are well hydrated, use a pink shade of lip liner, follow the natural line of your lips and fill in completely. Apply a similar shade of pink lipstick over the lip liner to give you a long-lasting lip shade.
