Ravi Kishan Speaks Out Against Jaya Bachchan In Interview
Bachchan had earlier slammed his statement in the Rajya Sabha.
It seems a row has erupted between BJP MP Ravi Kishan and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan over the issue of consumption of drugs in Bollywood. The two, who also happen to be from the film industry, have been arguing on the topic in the house. Kishan has now spoken out against Bachchan’s statement in which she had slammed his comments. “She is my senior. This is sad. I did not expect her to behave like this with me. I expected her to support me.”
Bachchan had earlier said in the Rajya Sabha, “Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry.” While speaking to a news channel, Kishen added, “I speak for the youth. A few people in the industry do administer drugs and I fear it will become a fashion.” Actor Kangana Ranaut has also weighed in on the debate, having asked Bachchan, “Jaya ji would you say the same thing if in my place it was your daughter Shweta beaten, drugged and molested as a teenage, would you say the same thing if Abhishek complained about bullying and harassment constantly and found hanging one day? Show compassion for us also.”
