Bhim has been a strong supporter of women’s rights as he saw his elder sisters Manjula and Tulsa suffer at the hands of society. His sisters were denied rights to study. But Bhim convinced his father Ramji and they fought against the stringent laws of society to get education rights for Bhim’s sisters. In another event, Bhim’s sisters were being teased by the men in the village. Bhim protected them by voicing his opinions against the men’s leering acts. The men were ashamed and stopped their antics immediately. Bhim made sure his sisters were safely home before he went away.

Manjula’s marriage ceremony with Bhaskar is all set to happen in a few days but Bhim is strictly against it as his sister is not happy. Bhim has even left the house in an act of rebellion. Bhim thinks of Ganga as his own sister. The girl was young and widowed when the villagers started torturing her to throw her out of the village.
