Rajasthan Governor Returns CM Gehlot’s Request For Assembly Session

Mishra said that the assembly session can be conducted after a 21-day advance notice is given.

For the past several weeks, the Rajasthan Political crisis has been the talk of the town. According to the latest news reports, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra has returned the notice sent by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot seeking an assembly session to the Government of Rajasthan with fresh queries. Mishra said that assembly sessions can be conducted only if proper procedures are followed. Further, he stated that a 21-day advance notice shall be given before conducting the session.

This decision taken by the Rajasthan Governor has faced a lot of criticism. Several Congress party workers in Chennai, Mumbai and Gandhinagar marched on the roads to oppose the Governor’s decision. Congress leaders even slammed the Modi Government for being incompetent in governing the nation. BJP MLA Satish Poonia stated that it is the Governor’s call whether to an allow assembly session or not and the Congress party has no right to force any impositions.
