Pushed And Burnt: Here’s Everything That Happened To Mrudula Before Her Death
Bhoomi Shetty, who has been playing the role of Mrudula in the Telugu TV show Ninne Pelladatha, has announced that she will no more be playing the popular character. This has left many of her fans disheartened. Now that we will soon be seeing a new face as Mrudula, here we take a look at the events that led to Mrudula’s alleged death. Haven’t caught up with it yet? Watch the episode here:
Mrudula never earned the respect that she deserved from the extended relatives of the Kamineni family. After marrying Madhu, everyone looked at her as an enemy. Her struggle to gain acceptance never really ended. But a few months post their secret wedding, Bharati and her husband along with Madhu’s sister Tanaya, arranged for a celebration of their holy union.
Post these celebrations was the big wedding of Tarun, the only male heir of the Kamineni family, with his mardal Sarayu. Mrudula was the apple of Tarun’s eyes and the sole source of irritation for Sarayu. The bride and groom wanted peace at the wedding. So Tarun’s mother Bharati made a deal. She promised to write off their entire wealth to Sarayu.
Bharati knew well that no one in the family would agree to this deal. When Mrudula finds the bond papers on the day of the wedding, she tries to convince Sarayu to withdraw her demand. Sarayu, obviously, does not agree. This turns into a heated argument between the two and Sarayu, in a fit of rage, ends up pushing Mrudula. To her misfortune, Mrudula slips and falls on a concrete platform, bleeding from the back of her head.
Sarayu walks out of the room and tells friends, the only witnesses, to never speak about this incident. In the wedding mandapam, Sarayu’s mother Komali and Tarun with his parents are arguing about property issues. After much debate, Tarun’s father agrees to sign the papers. Just when he puts pen to paper, Mrudula yells “nanna!” (dad!) and falls unconscious on the ground.
Everyone rushes her to the hospital. There, after some treatment, the doctor informs that Mrudula is pregnant. Madhu denies these reports. So, the doctor suggests that once Mrudula gains consciousness, there will be clarity on the issue. All this time, Sarayu stays in the hospital to make sure Mrudula keeps quiet and looks for an opportunity to remove her oxygen mask.
When Mrudula finally gains consciousness, Sarayu arranges for a van, two goons and a nurse who give her anaesthesia and take her away. Sarayu instructs them to stay with her until her next order. Meanwhile, Madhu goes crazy looking for his wife and even injures himself in the process.
Mrudula’s father asks for police assistance in locating her. After a couple of days, the police informs them that the van which was used to take Mrudula out of the hospital has been spotted at the outskirts of the city. They believe that due to a leakage in the petrol tank of the car, it caught fire and burnt down entirely, killing the people inside. Everyone but Madhu, hears this news and is devastated.
Madhu learns about it only after reaching the spot where Mrudula was found. The police officer there gives him the bad news. Unlike everyone, Sarayu is reeling in happiness because her plan has succeeded. She calls her men to tell them that the plan to take the van and burn it with Mrudula’s drunk father on the driver’s seat to make it look like a drunk-driving case has yielded results.
Madhu feels weak but completes Mrudula’s last rites. The next morning, however, Madhu firmly states that Mrudula isn’t dead. Because though they are two people, they’re living one life. That’s how powerful their love is. Tarun, Sarayu and Vasanta do not take him seriously considering the fact that losing the love of your life isn’t easy.
We predicted on May 21, 2019 that Madhu’s belief was indeed true and that Mrudula wouldn’t be dead in such a way. What happens next? Well, Mrudula comes back, as confirmed by Bhoomi Shetty. But how, when and why? That’s something we have to wait for.
