Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Vacates Central Government Owned Bungalow
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra handed over the possession of 35, Lodhi Estate which was allotted to her on security grounds, to the CPWD
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday finally vacated her house of over 20 years and handed over 35, Lodhi Estate, to the Central Government. A few weeks back the Central Government had issued a notice to Gandhi asking her to vacate the bungalow or else face the necessary consequences. The Congress general secretary finally handed over the possession of 35, Lodhi Estate which was allotted to her for reasons of security, to the CPWD (Central Public Works Department of India) today. According to the sources, Gandhi has finalised a house in Central Delhi which is currently undergoing some renovation. Until then, she will be moving into her penthouse in Gurugram.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has also passed on to the CPWD and the Directorate of Estates a full inventory of privately installed fittings, fixtures, etc. She has cleared all electricity and water dues. To avoid criticism and controversy of any kind, Gandhi even released a video of her showing the house to the concerned authorities, which was cleaned and painted before being handed over.
