We’re back with some tasty food that you can make this week. If you’re in the mood to cook and you want to take out time to make something unique, here is the tastiest grill sandwich and the most refreshing mango lassi to go with it!
Grilled Vegetable Sandwich
The first step to making a grilled sandwich is to boil the potatoes and then slice them into rounds. This is the first step as it serves a base to the grilled sandwich. Then chop the cucumber, tomatoes, and onions in thin round slices. On slices of bread, spread butter followed with green chutney. This helps is keeping the sandwich moist and soft. However, make sure not to let the bread become too soggy. Now, place a few slices of potatoes, tomato, cucumber and onion slices over the bread and add some chaat masala, roasted cumin powder and black salt to the same. Cover the vegetable topped slices with the remaining buttered and chutney slices of bread. Spread butter on the top of the slices. When the grill is ready, gently place the buttered side facing the bottom of the grill. Close the grill and then grill the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes or till golden. Serve the tastiest sandwiches!
Mango lassi does not always require fresh mangoes. If you’re craving some chilled mango lassi and it isn’t the season then no problem! You can use canned mango pulp if you can’t find mangoes. The first step is to take a bowl and add fresh mangoes or canned mangoes. Then, add yoghurt but make sure they are not of any other flavour. Plain whole-milk yoghurt could also be used. As you want the shake to be cold, add cold milk and a little water to thin out the lassi a bit. If you like it extra sweet then be sure to add some sugar along with the cardamom powder to enhance the taste. Blend everything until well combined using a blender for the perfect consistency! Your shake is ready. You may garnish with nuts before serving.
