Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham, starring Dharshana Asokan and Jai Akash, is currently one of the most popular romantic dramas, on Zee Tamil. Directed by Gautham Menon, the story revolves around the love story and hardships of Suryaprakash, a rich businessman and Anu, a middle-class girl. A lonely Suryaprakash gets attracted to one of his employees, Anu, who is half his age.

Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham is a remake of a romantic Marathi television series, Tula Pahate Re, which was premiered only on February 24, 2020. As the show began, the viewers became its die-hard fans. Dharshana and Jai, who are winning hearts for their portrayal of Suryaprakash and Anu respectively, have already become one of the popular on-screen couples. The ardent viewers of Zee Tamil love their onscreen chemistry and just can’t get enough of them.

Apart from these qualities, Suryaprakash prefers to be treated as an ordinary man. These traits make him one of the interesting characters on the show.
Anu
Anu is a girl-next-door Anu, who hails from the lower-middle-class strata. She is currently pursuing her education. She is a sweet, bubbly and innocent girl. The best quality of her is that she is an independent woman, who believes in earning her own living and choosing her own future. Remember the time when Suryaprakash gifts her a blank cheque? Well, she returns it to him. This shows that she has tremendous self-respect.
Pushpa
Pushpa’s character stands out. One could connect with Pushpa and her emotions are just like anyone of us. Her middle-class mentality is something all of us could relate to. We love the fact that she loves her husband Subbu despite him not being able to give her the life she desires. She cribs about not having money and argues with Subbu often. But she also loves him irrespective of their circumstances.
Subramaniam
We love Subramanium’s character as it is very pleasing to see a doting father on a TV show. Subbu, who loves her wife and daughter, is one of my favourite characters too. He is sure to make all girls jealous and long for a bond that Subbu and Anu share. It’s cute to see how Subbu always support Anu and makes her a strong and righteous woman.
Meera
We all need that one Villi (vamp) on a TV series to make the content interesting and grab the attention of viewers. We love Meera because she is smart, shrewd and sharp. Though she plays a negative role, we like her for her attitude and confidence.
