In a SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) virtual meet, Pakistani authorities depicted a fictitious map of India. According to sources, Pakistan inaccurately portrayed the borders of the two countries, thus giving rise to yet another controversy. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval immediately walked out of the meeting after Pakistani representative Dr Moeed Yusuf showed the new political map of the country that depicted Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory. Moreover, it claimed the regions of Sir Creek and the erstwhile state of Junagadh in Gujarat as part of Pakistani territory.

Indian authorities rejected the authenticity of the map and even warned Pakistan against playing political games. Ministry of External Affairs said that these ridiculous assertions by Pakistan have neither legal validity nor international credibility, and that this is just another one of Pakistan’s tricks to create tensions between the two nations.
