In the previous episode of the latest Bengali TV serial Nakshi Kantha, we saw that Rohini called up Shabnam (played by Manali Dey) to invite her for her and Jash’s (played by Suman Dey) reception. While it might come across as a harmless invitation, when it comes to Rohini, nothing is done without a cause. Rohini insisted on Shabnam bringing Debdeep along with her to the reception. Her intention is clear. She wants to prove in front of Jash and the rest of the family that Shabnam has found someone better in Debdeep, which is why she did not bother to look for Jash despite being in Kolkata the entire time.

Rohini and Swapnadip has been putting doubts in Jash’s mind ever since Shabnam came back on Jash and Rohini’s wedding day. They want to prove to Jash that Shabnam went away on her own because she does not love Jash any longer and has found someone better than him. Jash, who is in an emotionally vulnerable state right now, seems to have fallen into their trap. Which is why he burst out at his father and uncle when they asked him why he went ahead with the wedding in spite of knowing that Shabnam is still alive and the marriage with Rohini is not valid.

In the spoiler for the episode to be aired on December 16, we see that Shabnam has come for Jash and Rohini’s reception along with Debdeep. She takes out an envelope and hands it over to Jash. When Jash asks her what it is, she asks him to take it. On opening, we see that it is a divorce petition. When Rohini says that it looks like a form, Shabnam says that’s the biggest gift of their wedding. Watch the spoiler for the episode here.
