Mumbai Police Is Speaking Rhea Chakraborty’s Language Claims Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey
The IPS officer said that the Bihar police is not breaking any protocol in Mumbai regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput case and only looking at a fair investigation.
Bihar Deputy General of Police (DGP), Gupteshwar Pandey has spoken to a leading channel about the ongoing tension between the Bihar police and Mumbai police in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The DGP said that Mumbai police is speaking the language of actress Rhea Chakraborty by saying that the case is out of the Bihar police jurisdiction.
Chakraborty has appealed to the Supreme Court for the case to be transferred from Bihar to Mumbai.
The IPS officer said that their state police are in no way stepping out of line. Calling the late actor’s father, Mr. KK Singh, the natural heir to Sushant, Mr. Pandey said that the bereaved father deserves justice for his son.
DGP Pandey further said that serious charges have been made in the first investigation report (FIR) filed in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty. These include criminal misappropriation of funds and criminal breach of trust, which the Bihar police wants to investigate.
On being asked why a zero FIR was not filed by the Bihar police which would give them the jurisdiction in any police station, Pandey stated that Mumbai police authorities never stopped them officially from pursuing the case in Mumbai.
He also added that the Bandra Deputy Commissioner of Police never showed up to meet the 4-member Bihar police team, in spite of calling them to his office.
Reacting to claims that the Bihar police is getting involved in this case due to public sentiment and political pressure, the Bihar IPS office refuted the same. He said his team is only trying to get justice for the grieving father of Sushant. He also said that nobody in his department has any hostility towards Rhea Chakraborty and he will ensure a fair and impartial investigation in this case.
