On Wednesday, September 16, the Ayurveda Education and Research Institute bill was passed in the Parliament. While addressing the bill, Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra said that the development of Ayurveda should become our national mission. Chandra said that Ayurveda is an ancient Indian science which is known all across the world and stressed on the need to promote it. He further cleared several allegations about Ayurveda by stating that some people believe that Ayurveda can cure only minor diseases and has no cure for serious and fatal diseases, which is not correct at all. The truth is that Ayurveda can cure every disease.

The Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra further added to this by saying what Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation had stated before independence – that Ayurveda should be given topmost priority and should be continuously encouraged.
