Asif Ali made his debut in the industry with the Malayalam movie Ritu in 2009. The audience noticed the actor for his unique acting skills and the film garnered critical acclaim for the directorial brilliance of Shyamaprasad. Despite delivering a hit film, Asif was haunted with flops and was offered frivolous roles in most movies.

After doing several commercial films, Asif was seen as Manu Raghav, an evergreen character in the Aashique Abu movie Salt N’ Pepper. The young actor’s amazing chemistry with veteran actor Lal once again made him a star in the industry. Asif Ali was soon seen in several hit ventures like Sevens, Doctor Love and Asuravithu in serious roles.

Asif is loved by his fans for his versatile acting on-screen and he used this unique skill as his trump card. The actor’s flexibility made him a hitmaker’s choice to fit in all sorts of characters. Asif amused us all in negative roles like Bhadran from Ordinary. The actor also explored romantic comedies and family entertainers at that time, thus building his success around the said genres.
