Mazhya Navryachi Bayko: Here’s Why Mrs Sabnis And Gurunath Are Like Two Peas In A Pod
Mazhya Navryachi Bayko is a family drama based on the life of Gurunath and Radhika. Radhika was pushed to the edge after she found out about Gurunath’s extramarital affair with Shanaya. She decided to part ways with him and began her life afresh with Saumitra. On the other hand, Gurunath promised commitment to Shanaya but kept her way from him all this while. So much so that, Shanaya’s mother Mrs Sabnis intervened and blamed Gurunath for cheating on her daughter. However, we think that Mrs Sabnis has no right to blame Gurunath since both of them are like two peas in a pod. We found out that both these characters fall in the same league and possess qualities that are similar to each other. Read on to know why we think so.

Gurunath is known for his wily plans that he has used to take revenge on Radhika. He teamed up with Shanaya to destroy the Radhika bit by bit. Shanaya failed to realise Gurunath’s slyness and became a part of all his plans wilfully. The latter also showed how self-centred he was as he picked Shanaya over Maya. Gurunath switched sides after realising that Maya could take him one step closer to Radhika’s destruction. Mrs Sabnis, too, has displayed a self-centred attitude on countless number of occasions and can go to any extend to earn some quick money. She has also proved to be just as cunning as Gurunath. Mrs Sabnis had once accused Gurunath of cheating and had manipulated him into giving them money. Her greediness certainly knows no bounds!
Both Mrs Sabnis and Gurunath are opportunists in their life. They are always on the lookout for gaining control of any given situation. Gurunath knows that he could gain direct access to Radhika’s life and is therefore pretending to be in love with Maya. He has even taken advantage of her naivety. Remember how Gurunath had asked Maya to blackmail Radhika to resign from the company? Likewise, Mrs Sabnis knows how to find her way out and pounces on any opportunity coming her way. Some episodes earlier, she had gotten close to Mehta so that she could extort money on the pretext of marriage.
Both these characters are evil and derive sadistic pleasure from other’s sufferings. We hope that they Radhika teaches them a lesson that they will both remember forever! What do you think? Post your thoughts in the comment box below.
