1. Namaste England

After Ishaqzaade, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra reunite in this romantic drama. The film tells the story of Jasmeet (Parineeti) an ambitious girl hailing from Punjab who wants to make it big as a jewelry designer.

But her family is against this as they believe that a woman’s place is in the kitchen and she is destined to be a homemaker.  

Things turn around for Jasmeet when she meets Param (Arjun), and the two fall in love. Param encourages her to pursue her dreams and helps her open a jewellery shop. As the years go by, the two decide to move to London to settle down and have a bright future.

But someone is trying to stop them. Who is it? And will Param and Jasmeet make it to London? Watch and find out!  

2. Manmarziyaan

This is a new-age love triangle that millennials can instantly connect with. Starring Vicky Kaushal (Vicky), Taapsee Pannu (Rumi) and Abhishek Bachchan (Ronnie), this Anurag Kashyap directional is unconventional and edgy, much like his other films. 

Vicky and Rumi are an eccentric couple that paint the town red with their outlandish ways. But Rumi wants to settle down and an irresponsible Vicky doesn’t take her wish seriously. As a result, she is set up with Ronnie (Abhishek Bachchan), who is a sorted man looking for companionship.  

But Ronnie finds out about Vicky and discovers that Rumi is still in love with him.

3. Dhadak

A remake of Marathi film SairatDhadak introduced actors Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. The film tells the story of Parthavi (Janhvi) and Madhukar (Ishaan), who hail from a small town in Rajasthan and fall in love.

However, their relationship is rejected by their families since Parthavi belongs to a wealthy family and Madhukar comes from a poor one. Despite this, the two elope and settle down together. But do they live happily ever after?

4. Tamasha

Everyone is aware of the sizzling chemistry Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor share. After Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the ex-lovers recreated their chemistry on the silver screen in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.

The film tells the story of Tara (Deepika) and Ved (Ranbir) who meet each other in Corsica, France and pretend to be two different individuals and have fun. They fall for one another and meet later in Delhi where they start a relationship.

But Ved and Tara discover that they have no spark when they reveal their true identities. They are shook knowing that their romance was a lot more fun when they pretended to be someone they are not.

5. Jab We Met

From the adorable love story to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s tremendous acting to the funny dialogues, there are several reasons to watch Jab We Met. This is another gem by Imtiaz Ali, that tells the story of Geet (Kareena), a spirited girl who lives life on her own terms.

She meets Aditya (Shahid) during a train journey and going forward, the couple embarks on some unwanted adventures. Geet wants to meet the love of her life Anshuman but along the way, she realises that she has fallen in love with Aditya.

6. Tanu Weds Manu Returns

If you liked Kangana Ranaut as the feisty Tanu in Tanu Weds Manu, wait till you see her double role in the sequel! Tanu Weds Manu Returns has twice the drama as it begins by showing that Tanu (Kangana) and Manu’s (Madhavan) marriage has taken a hit.

Tanu gets her husband locked up in an asylum and flees to her hometown.  Meanwhile Manu gets released and discovers Kusum, a Haryanvi speaking twin of Manu!  He falls for her and decides to marry her. But Manu returns after realising that she still loves Manu and can’t see him getting married to another woman.

7. Mausam

This film brought together Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor for the first time. The film tells the story of Harinder Singh aka Harry (Shahid), a Punjabi boy who falls in love with Kashmiri girl Aayat (Sonam).

But communal riots, religious differences and an India-Pakistan war test this couple’s relationship. Do Harry and Aayat overcome these obstacles and end up together?

8. Anjaana Anjaani

Two powerhouses of talent come together in this Siddharth Anand film. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra play Akash and Kiara, two troubled and suicidal people, that fail to end their lives despite numerous attempts. Akash and Kiara meet and decide that they will live life to the fullest until New Year’s Day.
