Kanpur Shootout: Gangster Vikas Dubey Arrested In Ujjain
Dubey had come to Madhya Pradesh to offer prayers at Mahakaal Temple and was identified by a security guard who then called the Ujjain police.
In a major development, wanted gangster Vikas Dubey was arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain on Thursday (July 9). It is learnt that Dubey had come to Ujjain to offer prayers at the Mahakaal Temple. He was identified by a security guard at the temple. The guard then called Ujjain Police following which Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Singh arrived with a large force.
Dubey was then taken into custody by Ujjain Police almost 150 hours after the dreaded gangster and his henchmen killed eight UP policemen on July 3 at his village in Kanpur.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was informed about the arrest by state Director-General of Police (DGP) Vivek Johri. Sources said that CM Chouhan then called Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and informed him about Dubey’s arrest. CM Chouhan congratulated Ujjain Police and said that those who think that Mahakaal will wash off their sins do not know Mahakaal at all. He asserted that the Madhya Pradesh government will not spare criminals at all.
