Kanpur Kidnapping: Priyanka Gandhi Interacts With Sanjeet Yadav’s Family
The Congress leader assured the victim’s family that she will be in touch with them and they shouldn’t hesitate to seek any assistance
Congress party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday (July 27), interacted with the family members of Sanjeet Yadav on phone. Talking to reporters, Yadav’s sister, Ruchi, said that Gandhi assured her family of all possible help from the Congress party. Ruchi told reporters, “Priyanka ji said that she is committed to providing every help to us.” “She also said don’t hesitate to contact whenever you are in need. She said that she will personally be in contact with us.” It might be recalled that earlier Gandhi had attacked the Yogi Adityanath government over the case.
She had taken to Twitter and said (in Hindi), “In Uttar Pradesh, law and order have crumbled. People are losing lives. Whether it’s a home, office, nobody feels safe anymore. After Vikram Joshi, now Sanjeet Yadav’s murder in Kanpur,” referring to journalist Vikram Joshi’s killing in Ghaziabad on Wednesday (July 22). “According to reports, police got kidnappers the ransom and then he was murdered. This is a new age of ‘rule of goons’. In this age, law and order have surrendered in front of goons,” Priyanka wrote in another post.
