In the previous episode of Jothe Jotheyali, Subbu and Pushpa are having a conversation about Anu. Pushpa sees that Subbu is relatively quiet. Looking at him, she tells him that he looks very unsettled, ever since he has come back from the temple. Later that night, he asks Anu why she didn’t even think of seeking permission from him to go to London, and tells her, that she will not go until she completes her studies.

In this episode, Arya gets a call from the reception that Anu and Subbu have come to visit him. He doesn’t know the reason, as to why they have come. Subbu looks disappointed. He humbly tells Arya that he needs to talk to him. They begin to talk about Anu’s career. Arya tells him that everything that Anu has achieved at Vardhan Group Of Companies is with the help of her own merit and talent and without anyone else’s help. He also tells Arya that he is very grateful, for he has given her an opportunity that he would have never imagined for her to get. He also thanks Arya for everything that he has done for her.

Subbu tells Arya that Anu must complete her studies, only after which, he will grant her permission to travel for work. Another reason that he gives Arya, is that he does not think it is appropriate for Arya and Anu to travel alone. If an entire team was travelling along with them, then he would have given it a second thought. Arya turns this tense moment into a light one, and tells Subbu not to worry about anything. He agrees with him and says that Anu must complete her studies. Meanwhile, Subbu calls Pushpa and tells her that Arya agreed with him. Pushpa tells him that he should have let Anu take that opportunity. The two decide to pursue the conversation at home.
