On Thursday, September 24 President Trump said that Johnson & Johnson have declared that their anti-Coronavirus vaccine has reached the final stage of clinical trials. Trump even urged the people to enrol themselves in vaccine trials as it would be really helpful for the nation. According to the sources, J&J’s vaccine is 4th in the US and tenth candidate globally who reached the final stage of clinical trials.
J&J and the US National Institutes for Health (NIH) confirmed the news stating that the clinical trials will enrol up to 60,000 volunteers across more than 200 sites in the US and around the world. J&J Chairman and CEO, Alex Gorsky said that the company’s goal is to leverage the global reach and scientific innovation to help bring an end to COVID-19 pandemic.
