Kangana Ranaut’s property in Mumbai was partly razed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today for “illegal construction.” According to the BMC, the issues include the toilets of the two combined flats being mixed and problems with the way the bedrooms have been constructed. The BMC had issued a notice to the actress yesterday and had started razing the structure today. By evening, the Bombay High Court ordered a stay on the demolition.

The Bombay HC has asked the BMC why they entered the property without the presence of the owner. The court has also ordered the civic body to submit an affidavit on the case. The court will next hear the case tomorrow. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut arrived in Mumbai today, amidst cheers and protests. She was escorted by Y+ security which has been provided to her by the Modi Government. The actress, who leans towards the BJP, has been involved in a tiff with leaders from the party’s rival Shiv Sena.
