The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 was delayed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. However, latest announcements from IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel has got all cricket fans jumping in joy. Patel has declared that IPL 2020 will be played in UAE from September 19 to November 8. There were reports claiming that the matches will be played without live crowds but now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that they will accept the UAE government’s decision on whether or not to allow crowds in the stadium.

Several IPL franchisee owners said that they are very happy about IPL 2020 taking place in UAE and are completely fine if the matches are played without live spectators as the safety of cricket fans and players matter the most in the ongoing pandemic.
